I’m just your average sweet tea drinking, pinterest loving, cardio obsessed, big city girl embracing small town living. Not to mention I have a profound love of creating!
From the moment my mother allowed me to color my hair for the first time, I have been elbow deep in all things beauty. As a teenager, I would climb up in the bathroom sink and pull my own hair through a highlighting cap. I was consistently experimenting with different hairstyles, hair colors, & mixing my nail polishes to create my own custom color. I won’t say that it always looked good, but who doesn't look back at pictures from a couple decades ago and wonder “what was I thinking?”
While I would love to tell you that I dove head first in to a career of cosmetology straight out of High School, that would be skipping some major moments in my life. I served 4 years in the U.S. Army and went to school for quite a few different job paths before I realized that I did not just want a job. I wanted a career that I could love for an eternity. With that realization, I launched a career that I could have passion for. Naturally, I became a hairstylist.
I graduated from TVCC’s Cosmetology program and worked directly with a color educator my first year out of school. I have advanced education in multiple color lines and cutting techniques. I go well beyond the continuing education requirements to maintain my license. It is important to me to keep up with new trends and always better my skills by learning what other great stylists can teach me.
